Harvest Farm of Whately is in a small town located in Western Massachusetts near the Connecticut River.

Harvest Farm of Whately is a partnership of Gary Gemme and David Wojciechowski. Davey manages the greenhouses and Gary manages the fields.

In 1979, the farm started with 8 acres and one greenhouse. We grew a little of everything with a focus on farmer’s markets and a few distributors.

As time passed we expanded until we currently market wholesale plants and produce to supermarkets, garden centers, distributors and produce markets throughout New England and other northeast states.

Today, we have about 150 acres of crops in the field. Our main crops are collards, kale, tomatoes, and spearmint.  We also grow specialty eggplants and other ethnic vegetables.

In more than an acre of greenhouses, we produce many varieties of potted herbs and flowers along with vegetable transplants and starts for farmers and retailers. We also sell soil, greenhouse and potting supplies.
